Chief Executive Officer:  Dr. Roberta O. Watts.

Dr. Watts is a native of Birmingham, Alabama. At the tender age of five, she knew that God had called her to minister to the needs of hurting people. In answer to that call, she became a nurse. Her professional career includes service as a public health nurse, professor of nursing and dean of the College of Nursing at Jacksonville State University. In 1978, she and her husband, Roger, established the first community health center in Gadsden, Alabama. The organization they founded is now the largest federally qualified health center in Alabama.

Director of Clinical Services: George R. McWhorter, MD.

Dr. McWhorter has over 30 years experience as a physician. A native of Meridian, Mississippi, he is a graduate of Tuskegee Institute and received his medical degree from the University of Florida. He has served in various medical leadership positions including, Chief of Gastroenterology at Martin Army Hospital, Ft. Benning, Georgia. He is affiliated with Baptist Medical Center-Princeton, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Cooper Green Hospital. He is board eligible in internal medicine..
