About

The Bethesda Life Center (TBLC) is a private, nonprofit corporation organized under the Alabama Nonprofit Corporation Act. It is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c) (3) of the U. S. Internal Revenue Code. It was established in 2005, initially by members of Faith Chapel Christian Center. It is governed by a 15- member board of directors representing a broad spectrum of the community it serves.

Board of Directors: Mr. Leroy Banks, Ms. Bettina Byrd-Giles, Mrs. Magnolia Cook, Fr. Robert Crossmyer, Mr. Kim Earl, Mrs. Felicia Fortune, Mrs. Judy Krueger, Mr. Dennis Lilly, Mr. William Robertson, Chief A.C. Roper, Antonio Spurling, Esq., Mr. Marion Sterling,  and Dr. Wilson Wright, Jr.

TBLC has collaboration agreements with the following Birmingham entities: 

   - Jefferson Health Systems

   – Jefferson County Department of Health

   – University of Alabama at Birmingham

   – Positive Maturity, Inc.

   – City of Birmingham

   – North Birmingham Dental Care

TBLC considers “the community” to be its owners and expects the community to hold it accountable. The best interest of the community guides all its decisions.
